I am a parent, educator, and community leader who believes that when we invest thoughtfully and courageously in children, families, and educators, entire communities thrive.
My commitment to public education is deeply personal. I grew up understanding what it feels like to want opportunities that are just out of reach. As a parent of five children and an educator of nearly three decades, I have experienced our education system from every angle—at the kitchen table, in the classroom, after school, and at the policy table. Those lived experiences drive my work and my belief that schools must meet students where they are while holding high expectations for what they can become.
